Do you have some sort of fidget toy that you use to sometimes use to keep your hands occupied?
I recently found one that I used to play with a lot. It is just two thin metal rods that have been bent and tangled creating a knot. The goal is to figure out how to get them untangled without bending them.
Since it had been a few years since I had used it, I actually played with them for about 10 minutes before I remembered the trick on how to separate them. It’s all about aligning things appropriately and then it comes apart quite easily. You can easily reattach it as well!
Disentangling these two metal pieces can teach us a valuable lesson in our lives.
When our actions and goals aren’t in alignment with what is truly important to us, we frequently have this feeling of being stuck in a tangled mess we don’t know how to get out of.
Perhaps there’s something in your life or career that you’re trying to accomplish, but you’re unsure how t o go about it. You may feel like you don’t even know which direction to take or how to move through the situation.
Maybe it is time to ask someone for help.
This is because if you’re battling with yourself to figure it out alone, it will be harder to find the solution.. .
There will be times in your life when what you want and what you are actually moving towards will be at odds. You already know what you need to do, but something keeps holding you back. This is a lack of alignment.
Many times, what you are resisting and working against is not external forces. It’s you. A you vs. you situation. You have your agency, and it’s up to you how to use it wisely. If you feel like you know what right thing to do is, then go ahead and stop doubting yourself and take action. Untangle yourself from all the complications in your mind and trust in your decisiveness. Take action that is in alignment!
Starting to live and act more in alignment will free you up to discover more and become more than you ever thought possible.
