We can be so much more than we think we are. Our potential is ever-present, and what we do with it will determine the course of our careers.
When our potential is put into action, windows of possibilities can open up for us.
Let me give you a little scientific analogy to explore this further:
There are two basic forms of energy. One is potential energy and the other one is kinetic energy. Potential energy is energy that is available but not yet put into action. It is not moving, but rather is stored energy. Kinetic energy, however, is all about movement. Indeed it is energy because of movement.
When it comes to your career, for you to progress, you need action, you need to move. You are full of potential energy, but if you stay still you will never turn that potential energy into the results you truly want in life.
There could be various reasons why you do not rise to your potential. It may be the comfort that you feel in a situation that is scary to leave, or it may be the fear of stepping into the unknown when you try to explore other opportunities.
Your potential is the key to your success. For you to succeed, you must go beyond your comfort zones and take a leap of faith and take action to reach your goals.
You are full of potential – so don’t waste it! Turn that potential into action. Learn a new skill, reach out to someone new, take on a new challenge – these purposeful actions will help you turn your potential into results, and bring greater fulfillment in your life and career.
