Force = Mass X Acceleration
The acceleration of an object is based on 2 key factors – the force applied and the mass of the object. As the mass increases, a larger force is needed to result in the same amount of acceleration. So what would we compare the “mass” as we consider accelerations in our lives? I promise this has nothing to do with our actual mass…
There are so many factors. We have history, baggage, self-esteem, our mindset, our health, our current habits, our busy schedules, etc. There are so many things that can make it harder to make a change in our lives.
If we really want to accelerate, we must be willing to let go of some of the things that are holding us back. Shed the mass, lighten the load, and get moving. Some things in our lives are outside of our control, but so many things are in our control.
Got 10 minutes? Yes, you do. Go get a piece of paper. Right now. Follow these steps:
- Take 5 minutes and write down all the obstacles you feel like you have in your way of achieving progress on a goal you want to achieve.
- Then take 1 minute and find at least one thing on that list that you can get rid of.
- Write down a goal that is specific about what you are going to do, and give yourself a deadline.
- Tell someone about it, with an expectation that you have to follow up with them on the date you choose (accountability appointment). Feel free to email me!
- Go make it happen!
